Working exclusively with clients candidates in the software and technology sectors, we specialize in filling high-stakes, high-profile positions with exactly the right candidates. And we do it efficiently and confidentially, using our deep roster of highly-qualified candidates, many of whom would never respond to an online job posting.


Michael Scott is the person you want on your side when you make mission-critical recruitment decisions. Lots of search firms place everyday people in everyday positions, but when Michael founded Search Consultants in 2004, he had a different goal: matching exceptional talent with exceptional companies.

Search Consultants’ hands-on, results-driven approach reflects Michael’s background and life experience. After earning an undergraduate degree in Psychology while working full-time to fund his own education, Michael rose through the recruitment industry ranks, becoming a Managing Partner at a regional staffing agency in under five years. He then earned the distinction of #1 regional sales rep and “rookie of the year” at a specialized recruitment firm, while developing a new business group from scratch, before founding Search Consultants to serve an even more demanding clientele. As Founder and CEO, Michael brings that same hustle and drive to work every day, placing top talent in demanding, even “impossible to fill” roles in the software and technology sectors.


In his work at Search Consultants, Michael combines his background in psychology with two decades of experience in the search and recruitment sectors. Employer-employee relationships are built on trust, and Michael cultivates that same trust in his clients and candidates at Search Consultants.
